I'm blogging again.

To celebrate, here is an unreleased illustration that was made for an art collective book that may or may not be still in the works. There is an accompanying illustration to this one, but I will probably release that as a print with this one in the future.

I started up a small project, kind of a DIY print series that involves barely any tools or computers. The rules are to write out something I have heard or said (excluding anything heard from the media, like movies and music) but without using any rulers or tools other than pen, paper, markers and my right hand. The computer is only for scanning and printing, no photoshopping or manipulating any mistakes, etc. etc.

My website has been updated. There are new designs and illustrations as well. The Vomitorium link will later be changed from the blog to a new Vomitorium website. I will post a link when that is completed.

I've been trying out different illustration techniques lately, mostly solid color shading. I haven't used gradients in my work, but that could change soon. I'm becoming more interested in the illustration styles of graphic novels, gig posters and vintage film posters.

Some News.

It's been a long time since an update but that is because I've been staying busy.

I got a job as a designer for a new company called Racquet Skinz. We produce custom graphics that are then printed and applied to blank racquets that are made by Ektelon. I've learned a lot about the sport of racquetball and I've enjoyed learning to take excellent designs and fit them to the small area for graphics on a slim racquet.

I'll post pics when designs are done. I've done over 50 since I started in February, but we haven't launched the store yet so we haven't actually produced a completed racquet yet (at least one that I have designed.)
